The 82nd Venice International Film Festival has revealed a powerhouse competition lineup featuring major international auteurs. Among the 21 films vying for the Golden Lion (including 5 Italian entries) are Kathryn Bigelow’s atomic thriller “A House of Dynamite”; Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated “Frankenstein”; Yorgos Lanthimos’s “Bugonia”, reuniting him with star Emma Stone; Jim Jarmusch’s episodic entry “Father Mother Sister Brother”; Park Chan-wook’s “No Other Choice”, marking his return 20 years after “Lady Vendetta”; and François Ozon’s new adaptation of Camus’ “The Stranger” (“L’etranger”). Festival director Alberto Barbera announced the selections for the event, scheduled to run from August 27th to September 6th.
