Five Italian productions will compete in the main selection of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, running from August 27 to September 6. Festival director Alberto Barbera announced the contenders include Paolo Sorrentino’s “La Grazia” as the previously disclosed opening film, alongside Leonardo di Costanzo’s “Elisa,” Pietro Marcello’s “Duse,” Franco Maresco’s “Un film fatto per bene,” and Gianfranco Rosi’s “Sotto le nuvole.” The lineup spotlights Italy’s prominent representation at this year’s prestigious cinema showcase on the Lido.
