Prosecutors’ consultants investigating the fatal plunge of three workers in Naples last July 25th shifted their attention during the removal of the installation today. Their focus centered on a tube of varying cross-section, broken at a point showing visible welding, and the tightening of its anchor pins. The crucial on-site examination, ordered by the Prosecutor’s Office, kicked off this morning. Defense consultants and lawyers present included: Zollo (for entrepreneur Pietroluongo); Fusco (for entrepreneur Napolitano); Ferraro (for the building administrator); and Floccher and Anzelmo (for the works director). Lawyers Amedeo Di Pietro and Luigi Cinque represented the victims’ families.
