A 44-year-old man from Adria (Rovigo) has been arrested for aggravated sexual violence against a 17-year-old foreign girl he met at Albarella, a coastal resort in the Rovigo province. According to local media reports, the incident occurred on July 12 when the suspect approached the minor on the beach and lured her to a secluded area under false pretenses, where he allegedly molested and assaulted her. After confiding in her parents, the teenager reported the crime to the Carabinieri police. Investigators identified the suspect using surveillance footage from the area, and the victim subsequently confirmed his identity. A judge has ordered the accused to be held under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
