Italian Chief of Defense Staff, General Luciano Portolano, will imminently participate in high-level military consultations in the United States with nations attending yesterday’s summit. The meeting, ordered by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, will focus on planning concrete security measures for Ukraine in potential ceasefire or peace negotiation scenarios.
Minister Crosetto emphasized that “Italy’s participation in these talks confirms our nation’s commitment—alongside allies and international partners—to contribute to European stability and security.” The discussions aim to develop robust security instruments for Ukraine during post-conflict arrangements.
