A 71-year-old hiker from Leffe, Bergamo, died after slipping off a path and plunging approximately 40 meters while walking with his wife in the Corna Piana area of Ardesio, Bergamo. Rescue efforts proved futile. The body was recovered by helicopter and transported to Oltre il Colle cemetery for return to the family, following formal release by the Bergamo Prosecutor’s Office. Carabinieri officers responded to the scene.
