Zelensky Pledges Major Boost to Domestic Weapons Production and Drone Strikes Against Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared a key objective to increase the proportion of domestically produced weaponry within Ukraine’s Defence Forces to 50% over the next six months. “The task is to increase the share of Ukrainian weapons in our Defence Forces to 50% in the next six months by boosting our production. This is absolutely realistic,” Zelensky stated via Telegram. He further emphasized the critical need to “ensure a significant increase” in both the deployment and operational range of Ukrainian drones targeting Russian objectives. “Every site in Russia that Moscow uses to produce weapons must be within striking range of our Defence Forces,” Zelensky asserted.
