US Rejects WHO Pandemic Regulations, Citing Sovereignty Concerns

The United States government has rejected the 2024 pandemic response regulations adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO), declaring they infringe upon U.S. sovereignty. The 2024 amendments to the International Health Regulations introduced the concept of a “pandemic emergency” and mandated “increased solidarity and equity” within the WHO framework.
