Authorities have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator of last night’s fatal stabbing in Turin’s Corso Giulio Cesare. A 30-year-old Nigerian national was stabbed at least four times in the abdomen and chest during the attack.
The violence began around 9:00 PM on Lungo Dora Savona before moving to the service road of Corso Giulio Cesare near number 14—an area bordering the Aurora and Barriera di Milano districts known for drug trafficking. Police, led by Mobile Squad chief Davide Corazzini, are reconstructing events: a dispute near a kebab shop escalated from shoving and punches until a blade appeared. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds before collapsing.
Investigators including Homicide Section Chief Valentina Costa, Flying Squad Director Edvige Strina, and prosecutor Laura Longo joined Corazzini and forensic teams at the scene. The murder weapon remains missing, though officers are reviewing area surveillance footage deemed crucial for identifying the killer.
Patrizia Alessi, Brothers of Italy council leader in District 7, stated: “This was a death foretold. Violence is routine on Corso Giulio Cesare and Lungo Dora Savona. Residents are terrified—we need urgent intervention.”
The location has seen previous killings. Nearby at Corso Giulio Cesare 25, 20-year-old Moroccan Hamza Moufiki was fatally stabbed; his 17-year-old killer was arrested after a brief escape. Mamoud Diane, 19, died from a back stab wound between May 2–3; his murderer remains at large.
