Taxpayers face a critical deadline next week for payments under Italy’s “rottamazione-quater” tax settlement scheme. Although the official cutoff was set for July 31, 2025, payments will be accepted without penalty until Tuesday, August 5, leveraging a statutory five-day grace period.
This deadline applies to two groups: those making their ninth installment who are current on prior payments, and individuals readmitted to the amnesty program who submitted applications by April 30 and owe either a first or single installment. Failure to pay fully by August 5—or attempts to pay partially—will trigger forfeiture of all amnesty benefits. Amounts already paid will be treated as advance deposits toward outstanding tax liabilities.
Payment forms were included in notices mailed by Agenzia delle entrate-Riscossione (Revenue Collection Agency). They are also accessible via the agency’s secure portal at www.agenziaentrateriscossione.gov.it using SPID, CIE, CNS, or Entratel credentials for tax professionals. Alternatively, taxpayers may request copies by email through a public website form, provided they attach valid identification.
