A physician experienced a terrifying encounter upon returning home to Vitulano, in Italy’s Benevento province, late Wednesday night. The doctor discovered a burglar armed with a pistol inside his residence. The intruder had just ransacked the home, stealing gold and other valuable items.
The physician surprised the thief mid-robbery. The burglar responded by pointing the gun directly at the homeowner, ordering him not to resist and to allow him to leave without incident.
After the thief fled the scene, the doctor immediately alerted the Carabinieri police. Authorities are now investigating the armed burglary.
