Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that her government has marked 1,000 days in office, remarking “it feels longer to me, but it’s 1,000 days – sufficient time to indicate the direction taken and work done.” Speaking at the CISL national congress in Rome, Meloni acknowledged, “I know I am demanding, and I know we must do more and better.”
“The figure that makes me most proud of these thousand days in government,” she added, “is that on average, over a thousand new permanent jobs were created every single one of those days, for a total of over one million.”
Meloni emphasized her government’s commitment to dialogue, saying, “I am also here to testify to the importance the government attributes to dialogue with the social partners, intermediary bodies, and workers, always keeping the general interest as our compass.”
