Famed Vertical Forest Architect Stefano Boeri Investigated in Milan Urban Planning Probe

Stefano Boeri, the globally renowned architect celebrated for Milan’s Vertical Forest, is under investigation in a new phase of Italy’s Economic and Financial Police Unit (Guardia di Finanza) probe into urban planning management. Authorities executed searches at Boeri’s properties though no pre-trial detention was requested. The investigation reportedly focuses on redevelopment projects including the Pirellino building. Boeri currently faces charges in two separate Milan cases: alleged auction manipulation and false statements regarding the European Library of Information and Culture, and building violations in the Bosconavigli project.
