Milan prosecutors have requested pre-trial house arrest for Manfredi Catella, founder and CEO of real estate group Coima, as part of a Guardia di Finanza investigation into urban development management. Catella is linked to major projects reshaping Milan’s skyline, including Milano Porta Nuova, Pirellino, the Porta Romana railway redevelopment (featuring Olympic Village residences), and the Biblioteca degli Alberi near Porta Garibaldi and Piazza Gae Aulenti. Investigators served Catella the warrant at Milan’s airport as he prepared to board a scheduled flight. Authorities also conducted searches at properties associated with him.
