Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Germany has already shipped Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, according to a Bloomberg report.
Trump added that he has not spoken with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, since announcing the threat of secondary tariffs against Moscow. He conditioned avoiding these tariffs on Russia reaching an agreement on the war within 50 days.
Overnight, Ukrainian cities reported explosions and injuries. Kyiv’s military authorities issued multiple alerts warning of waves of Russian drones targeting the capital and other regions, as covered by local media. The Ukrainian Air Force also warned of a ballistic missile threat.
The northeastern city of Kharkiv came under intense enemy fire, with local authorities reporting at least 17 explosions and at least three people wounded. Kryvi Rih, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, was also targeted in a mass drone attack.
Conversely, the Russian state news agency TASS reported air raid alerts in Ukraine’s Vinnitsa and Rovno regions.
