Giusy Lucente, 41, from Sammichele di Bari, died last night on the Bari bypass after being struck by a car while she and her husband were aiding a young female motorcyclist involved in an earlier crash. Lucente, herself a motorcycle enthusiast, was traveling with her husband in a compact car when they witnessed the motorcyclist fall following a collision. The couple pulled over to provide assistance. At that moment, a large-displacement car driven by an 80-year-old man approached the scene, striking and killing Lucente. The motorcyclist and Lucente’s husband were also hit in the incident.
