Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that “important talks” in Washington marked “a significant step forward and a demonstration of true unity between Europe and the United States.” In a Telegram post Tuesday following meetings at the White House with U.S. President Trump and European leaders, Zelensky emphasized that “security guarantees remain fundamental as the starting point for ending the war.”
The president noted that leaders attended personally “to support Ukraine and discuss steps toward a real peace, including a reliable security architecture to protect Ukraine and all of Europe.” He affirmed continued coordination “with all allies seeking a dignified end to the war,” concluding: “We keep working. Thank you to everyone who assists us.”
