A woman was harassed on a bus in Milan by an unknown man who then fled the scene, disappearing amidst the ensuing commotion. A police patrol responded to the alarm raised by passengers and arrived on the scene to interview witnesses.
The incident occurred this morning on a Line 90 trolleybus, one of the most used routes in the Lombard capital. While the bus was in the southern area of Milan on viale Cermenate, the man groped a female passenger, who has not yet been identified. He quickly fled after she screamed, taking advantage of the doors opening at a stop.
After calls were made to the emergency number 112, police arrived and interviewed a 40-year-old woman who witnessed the event. The victim of the assault had also already left the location by that time.
