A weather alert has been declared for Milan, effective from 9:00 PM tonight and lasting throughout the entire day on Tuesday, August 20th. In response, Palazzo Marino, which has activated the municipal operations center for Civil Protection, has ordered the closure of all city parks for Tuesday.
Access to the Museum of Natural History and the Civic Aquarium will remain available via secured, fenced-off pathways. Starting this afternoon, city officials are urging the public to “leave all green areas, parks, and tree-lined zones” and to avoid standing near or under construction scaffolding, outdoor dining structures, and tents.
Residents are also advised to exercise caution in underpasses and areas prone to flooding and to secure any pots or objects on their balconies.
