The wildfire threatening Vesuvius National Park has been largely subdued, with aerial firefighting units now targeting residual hotspots near Ottaviano, park president Raffaele De Luca confirmed to ANSA. Ground crews continue efforts to fully extinguish the blaze. “We can breathe a sigh of relief,” stated De Luca, emphasizing ongoing cleanup operations. “We aim to recover swiftly in the coming days and move forward with the same strength and determination we’ve maintained throughout these years.”
