Traffic flow has been restored on the Pontina motorway (State Road 148) towards Rome after a serious accident had brought circulation to a halt, causing significant tailbacks. Road maintenance agency Anas confirmed the roadway has now been cleared.
The traffic incident occurred at the 26.500-kilometer mark of the motorway within the Rome municipality. The collision involved three vehicles and resulted in two individuals sustaining injuries. Emergency crews from Anas and local law enforcement were dispatched to the scene to manage the event and facilitate the reopening of the affected stretch as swiftly as possible.
