Milan prosecutors have formally registered ten individuals as suspects under investigation for the collapse of the Generali sign on the Hadid Tower in the CityLife district on June 30. Prosecutors Francesca Celle and Maura Ripamonti are leading an investigation for alleged culpable collapse.
Those under investigation include designers, technical experts, and representatives of the companies responsible for the installation and maintenance of the structure. Technical assessments by the prosecutors’ appointed consultants are scheduled to begin next Monday.
As previously reported by ANSA, the prosecutors had authorized the removal of both the collapsed sign and an identical one on another facade of the tower on July 4. Simultaneously, they began acquiring documentation to identify all the companies, along with their respective owners and managers, involved in the creation of the sign structure, the execution of the work, and its ongoing maintenance.
