Senator Reports Anarchist Threat Letter to Police

Gian Marco Centinaio, a Senator and vice-president of the Italian Senate, has filed a complaint with the Pavia police headquarters after receiving a threatening letter. The letter, which bore the symbol of anarchist groups, targeted the League party senator’s stance on the recent clearance of the Leoncavallo social center in Milan.

In a post on his social media channels, Centinaio stated, “Yesterday I had to go to the police station to report yet another threatening letter I received at my home.” He described the letter as “obviously anonymous, but with the anarchist ‘A’ on it,” and quoted its message: “‘We will come for you, ONE by ONE!’, write the cowards.”

The senator defiantly added, “They will certainly not make me change my mind: those who occupy properties illegally must be evicted, and the government is right to proceed in this manner.”
