The upcoming Safety Expo 2025, scheduled for September 17th and 18th in the exhibition halls of the Bergamo Fair, will be entirely dedicated to fire prevention. Organizers state that the event offers “a concrete opportunity to strengthen the culture of safety through innovative technological solutions and dialogue between institutions, technicians, and businesses on a topic that is now more urgent than ever.” They emphasize it will provide tangible contributions on streamlining procedures and addressing critical regulatory issues that need to be made more accessible to sector professionals, who often grapple with complex and fragmented rules.
According to the organizers, “the urgency of strengthening fire prevention is clear for all to see, and prevention can no longer be postponed.”
Special attention will also be paid to the challenges emerging from the recent push for the energy efficiency upgrades of buildings. “Many renovated buildings may not comply with fire regulations,” warns Daniele Marmigi, Technical Director of Safety Expo. “Prevention must be designed ‘by design,’ not improvised. It is time to integrate safety into the criteria for future bonuses.”
Safety Expo 2025 will feature conferences, roundtable discussions, accredited professional training courses, and practical demonstrations focused on the most advanced solutions. These will include fire barriers, extinguishing systems, personal protective equipment, smoke and heat control systems, fire-resistant materials, and detection, pressurization, and pumping technologies. A specific focus will be placed on building facades and new European regulations. Among the most anticipated events are roundtables on building regulations, integrated design, and responsible refurbishment, alongside demonstrations of best practices for evacuation and emergency management.
A dedicated session will cover vertical technical regulations (Rtv), involving fire service officials who will respond to arguments and questions raised through a consultation launched by the magazine Antincendio and via Regional Technical Committees for Prevention. The goal is to identify needs for updating or integrating the Rtv to support design activities窗口中.
