This morning, students and families at the Aldo Fabrizi elementary school, part of the Gigi Proietti comprehensive institute in Rome’s Tuscolano area, assembled a quarter-hour before the school bell rang. They gathered bearing peace flags and handmade boats to express solidarity with the children of Gaza. A sign attached to the school’s perimeter wall stated, “We are silent when children sleep, not when they die.” Other messages, such as “Long live peace” and “we want a sea of peace,” were displayed on paper alongside three colorful boats, enabling the children to voice their concerns on a day of general mobilization. © Copyright ANSA – All rights reserved.
