Construction continues on extending Metro Line C from San Giovanni to the Colosseo station in Rome. Regular service without evening restrictions will operate until Sunday, August 24th. From Sunday through Thursday, the last trains will depart at 11:30 PM. On Friday and Saturday evenings/nights, the final departures from the line’s terminals will be at 1:30 AM, according to an announcement from the Campidoglio (Rome City Hall).
From August 25th to 29th, evening service restrictions will resume. After the last trains depart from Pantano at 8:30 PM and from San Giovanni at 9:00 PM, shuttle bus services MC (San Giovanni-Pantano) and MC3 (San Giovanni-Parco di Centocelle) will operate.
A full weekend closure affecting the entire line will then occur on August 30th and 31st, with buses replacing trains.
Evening restrictions return from September 1st to 19th, with the last trains departing Pantano at 8:30 PM and San Giovanni at 9:00 PM. Shuttle buses MC and MC3 will again provide connections after these times. Another full weekend closure with bus replacements is scheduled for September 20th and 21st.
