Rome Court Approves Plea Deal for Professor Accused of Patient Sexual Assault

The Rome Tribunal has approved a plea bargain for Professor Luca Richeldi, head of pneumology at the Policlinico Gemelli hospital, who was accused of sexual violence against a patient. The first criminal section approved a sentence of eleven months and ten days. At the next hearing on November 20th, the court will designate the facility where he must undertake a twice-weekly psychological counseling program for the entire duration of his sentence.
