Renovation work has finally commenced at the secondary campus of the Gullace High School on Via Deportati del Quadraro. As previously reported, the school was the site of a complex ordeal after two serious arson fires in 2024 damaged the building’s ground and first floors.
Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri stated on Instagram that the intervention will include making the environments safe, clearing out debris and machinery, remediation, structural repairs, the replacement of electrical and fire safety systems, and the installation of new windows.
Gualtieri added, “Thanks to an allocation of 1.9 million euros from the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, all the necessary procedures to start the construction site were completed very rapidly. We will do everything possible to allow students to return to their classrooms as soon as possible.”
