Ramazzotti’s Emotional Tribute at Baudo’s Wake: “The Best… It’s Hard”

Singer-songwriter Eros Ramazzotti offered a brief but poignant homage upon leaving the wake of legendary Italian television host Pippo Baudo at Rome’s Teatro delle Vittorie. Visibly moved after spending twenty minutes inside the memorial venue, Ramazzotti struggled to articulate his grief, murmuring only: “The best, the best… it’s hard.” The artist, who won Sanremo Music Festival’s young performers category in 1984, rose to fame during one of Baudo’s record 13 editions as the competition’s host.
