A march in support of Gaza, which set off from Rome’s Piazza dei Cinquecento and passed through the Scalo San Lorenzo area, reached the city’s ring road after a long route. Protesters chanted, “Now we block everything,” and, “Free, free Palestine.”
Upon arriving at the ring road, an action that was reportedly agreed upon with police officials on site, some participants climbed over the guard rail, invading the opposite lanes and bringing traffic to a standstill. The demonstration featured chants of “Free Palestine,” as well as pro-Gaza flags and slogans.
