Nordic Trio Pledges $500M for US Arms to Bolster Ukraine

Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have announced a joint commitment of approximately $500 million to purchase American weaponry within the framework of the NATO-coordinated military support program. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed gratitude for the swift action, stating on X: “I am grateful to Denmark, Norway and Sweden for their quick action to fund a package of US military support for Ukraine.” Rutte emphasized that the funding “will provide life-saving equipment and essential supplies to the front line, strengthening Ukraine’s position and helping to deter aggression as it pursues a lasting peace.”
