In a significant move welcomed by legions of Oasis fans, Noel Gallagher has publicly declared an end to the bitter feuds that long divided the two brothers and the iconic British band. Speaking to TalkSport, Gallagher stated, “Liam is fantastic. I’m proud of him,” drawing a definitive line under their tumultuous past, a sentiment cemented by the band’s massively successful world reunion tour and their sold-out summer concerts across the UK and Ireland.
Noel, opening up for the first time since the reunion began, expressed his joy at returning. “It’s been great to be back with the band. I’d forgotten how funny Liam is,” he added. He even revealed feeling so nervous before the tour’s opening night in Cardiff that his “legs were trembling.” Observers noted he was moved to tears during the Edinburgh performance as the notes of ‘Talk Tonight’ rang out.
Gallagher admitted to underestimating the overwhelming response, acknowledging the “Oasis-mania” and the global success of the comeback. When asked how emotional it was to share an embrace with his brother Liam at the end of the Cardiff show, Noel responded in his characteristic wry manner: “We’re not those kind of boys, you know what I mean?”.
