Italy’s Industry Minister Adolfo Urso declared a draft agreement for decarbonizing Taranto’s former Ilva steelworks marks “a turning point that will encourage investors to present industrial plans for reviving steel production, industrial reconversion, and green transition.”
“This finally confirms—for the first time in this 15-year saga—a united Team Italy,” Urso emphasized. “We have an accord among all institutional players: the national government, regional authorities, and local entities, all committed to this extraordinarily important challenge.”
