The Milan Stock Exchange closed sharply lower on Friday, dragged down by tariff fears and disappointing US labor market figures. The benchmark FTSE MIB index shed 2.55%, finishing at 39,942 points. Banking stocks led the decline coinciding with stress test results, with Fineco plummeting 5.8%, Intesa Sanpaolo falling 5.57%, Bper losing 3.94%, and Unicredit down 3.74%. Conversely, Campari surged 7.95% after reporting better-than-expected earnings. Inwit also gained 1.16%, while Nexi rose 1.4%.
