A magnitude 3.0 earthquake has been recorded with its epicenter located 2 km southeast of Abetone in the Pistoia Apennines. The seismic event, registered at 15:25 by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) at a depth of 13 km, was distinctly felt by residents. Preliminary reports indicate the quake has caused no damage to property or persons. The tremor was felt not only in the province of Pistoia but also in the neighboring province of Lucca.
