Lombardy President Attilio Fontana has again weighed in on the upcoming regional elections, stating he is “absolutely convinced that in the case of Veneto, one cannot and must not bypass Zaia.” Although Fontana expressed confidence that “an agreement has been reached on almost everything,” he noted in an interview with La Provincia Pavese that “these choices should be made earlier,” a point he believes also applies to the regional races. Regarding Luca Zaia and the Veneto region, Fontana is convinced that “precisely for the good of the coalition, a Zaia list would be a significant asset.”
