Lazio Regional President Francesco Rocca has condemned the non-consensual sharing of images of women on the Facebook group ‘Mia Moglie’ and the forum ‘Phica.eu’ as an “unacceptable form of sexist violence.” The sites are at the center of investigations for distributing intimate images without consent alongside illicit and degrading comments. In a statement, Rocca offered his full support to the affected women.
He further expressed “relief and appreciation for the shutdown of Phica.eu,” adding that he hopes the closure “sends a strong signal.” Rocca stated that while the path toward a culture of respect and responsibility is long, concrete actions like this are fundamental steps. He emphasized that it is now essential for Postal Police investigations to identify those responsible and for effective measures to follow the complaints to prevent such abuses from happening again. “The bodies and reputations of women deserve protection and respect,” he concluded.
