Korean Air has publicly announced its intention to purchase 103 next-generation aircraft from Boeing. The landmark deal, revealed just hours after a bilateral meeting in Washington between U.S. President Donald Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, represents the largest agreement in the history of the South Korean aviation industry. According to the Seoul-based carrier, the purchase, which also includes spare engines from GE Aerospace, carries an estimated value of approximately $50 billion. The delivery of the aircraft is scheduled to be completed “by the end of 2030.”
