A judge for preliminary hearings (GUP) in Rome has approved plea bargains for former Juventus executives as part of the ‘Prisma’ investigation into alleged false accounting in player transfers. The plea agreements, which range from 11 months to one year and eight months (suspended sentences), involve former chairman Andrea Agnelli, former vice-president Pavel Nedved, and former sporting director Fabio Paratici, among others. The judge, Anna Maria Gavoni, dismissed the case against another former Juventus manager, Maurizio Arrivabene.
The charges in the proceedings, contested to varying degrees by the defendants, included market manipulation (aggiotaggio), obstructing regulatory oversight, and false accounting. Specifically, the court approved a sentence of one year and eight months for Andrea Agnelli, one year and two months for Pavel Nedved, and one year and six months for Fabio Paratici. Two other defendants received 11-month sentences.
Additionally, the court ordered a fine of €156,000 against Juventus Football Club itself. It has also been reported that approximately one-third of the more than 200 civil parties have reached a settlement agreement with the club for a total compensation amount of €1.08 million.
