Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced Monday in Ancona that the Council of Ministers has approved legislation extending Italy’s special economic zone (SEZ) to include the Marche and Umbria regions. “We have chosen to give this territory an additional opportunity,” Meloni stated, presenting government measures for the Marche region.
The Prime Minister was received at the Tamburi Auditorium by Marche Region President Francesco Acquaroli, alongside Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani. Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini joined via video link. During his address, Salvini asserted the center-right coalition would prevail in the Marche, dismissing relevance to any ongoing investigation (“men che zero”). “We will win because in five years we have changed the Marche,” he declared.
Salvini also announced the definitive approval of the Messina Strait Bridge project, scheduled for Wednesday at 12:30 PM, marking the start of construction works.
