At least seven Palestinians were killed and 34 others injured in two separate Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacks in Gaza on Thursday morning, including fatalities while awaiting humanitarian aid, medical sources reported to Al Jazeera. In the central Gaza Strip, an IDF assault north of the Nuseirat refugee camp resulted in five civilian deaths and 33 injuries. Separately, Israeli forces opened fire on a group near the Netzarim crossing south of Gaza City as they waited for humanitarian aid, killing at least two Palestinians and wounding one.

An Italian Air Force C-130 aircraft parachuted the first batch of Italy’s humanitarian aid into
