A source within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government stated that Israel is maintaining its demand for the release of all hostages held in Gaza. The source, commenting on a new mediator-proposed truce that Hamas has accepted and which includes a partial release of hostages, said Israeli policy has not changed. “Israel’s position is consistent and has not changed. Israel demands the release” of all hostages “in accordance with the principles set by the government to end the war,” the source affirmed. The official added, “We are in the final, decisive stage against Hamas and we will not leave any hostage behind.”
