A 23-year-old man from Cartigliano, Vicenza, has been placed under house arrest on suspicion of being the driver who struck and killed Stefano Angonese in a hit-and-run incident. The victim died on Tuesday evening in Lusiana di Conco.
Carabinieri officers located the suspect’s vehicle near his residence. They reported that the damage to the car is fully consistent with the dynamics of the accident.
The suspect faces charges of vehicular homicide, fleeing the scene of an accident, and failure to render aid. The arrest was ordered by the on-duty prosecutor from the Vicenza Prosecutor’s Office.
