A historic cultural and spiritual event, set in the heart of Vatican City, will be broadcast live on September 13 at 9:00 PM, exclusively on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Live. Co-directed by Pharrell Williams and Andrea Bocelli, the concert will take place in St. Peter’s Square for the first time in history. Supported by the Vatican, the event marks the closing of the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity and a celebration leading to the 2025 Jubilee.
“The evening of September 13 will see fraternity take center stage through the universal language of music and the stories of those who have made it a life choice,” stated Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, O.F.M. “We will propose concrete words and actions to bring back to our communities so that fraternity does not remain merely an idea but becomes a choice to transform reality.”
“This is one of those rare cultural moments where the world stops and tunes in as one. It is a message of union and grace for all of humanity,” declared Pharrell Williams.
“We are highlighting humanity through music from the very heart of Christianity and its most important spiritual square, reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace,” added Andrea Bocelli.
Conceived as a moment of global sharing, the event will unite music, reflection, and visual storytelling into a single live experience. With executive producers Pharrell Williams, Andrea Bocelli, Nova Sky Stories, Something in the Water, Solina Chau, Mark and Roma Burnett, and Kimbal Musk, and with musical direction by Adam Blackstone, the celebration will be open to the public in Rome and broadcast globally on Disney+. The production is handled by Jesse Collins Entertainment and directed by Sam Wrench.
The concert will feature world-renowned artists, performances, and guests, including: Pharrell Williams with the gospel choir Voices of Fire, Andrea Bocelli, Karol G, John Legend, Clipse, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, and Angélique Kidjo. The event will also include a spectacular drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories, featuring imagery inspired by the Sistine Chapel, alongside global leaders from culture, diplomacy, and sports who will share their reflections.
