A 59-year-old woman from Pressana, Verona, required emergency rescue on Tuesday afternoon after sustaining head injuries in a fall near the Folgorida waterfall in Val di Genova, Trentino. The incident occurred along the Folgorida stream close to the Ragada locality, where the victim slipped on a wet stone and struck her head against a boulder.
Witnesses immediately alerted Trentino’s unified emergency number (112) at approximately 3:00 PM. Trentino Emergenza dispatch mobilized the Pinzolo Alpine and Speleological Rescue unit to the scene.
Rescuers and medical personnel assessed the woman’s condition upon arrival. Due to the severity of her head trauma and presenting symptoms, the Alpine Rescue team secured her to a spinal stretcher. She was subsequently airlifted to Trento’s Santa Chiara Hospital for urgent treatment.
