Tayseer Abu Sneina, the mayor of Hebron, was arrested by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) during a raid on his home. The news was first reported by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which cited Palestinian media sources. According to these reports, Abu Sneina was taken for questioning and subsequently arrested for reasons that are currently undisclosed. His son, Meza, who spoke to the press, stated that the family does not know his father’s current whereabouts. In a related development, a curfew was imposed on the Hebron district as of yesterday, with Israeli forces blocking all entrances and exits to the area.
