Heavy bombardments have been reported across the entire Gaza Strip, with a preliminary death toll of 44. In the central area, at least five people, including two children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp. It is believed at least 15 others remain trapped beneath the rubble.
