Italian military police have issued precautionary measures against four minors identified as organizers of destructive Halloween night disturbances in Valmarecchia, Ospedaletto di Coriano (Rimini). The incidents on October 31, 2024, saw cars torched, hay bales and dumpsters set ablaze, and smouldering scrubland, leading carabinieri to identify around one hundred youths who were returned to their parents.
Following an eight-month investigation by Bologna’s Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, carabinieri from the Riccione Company served court-ordered restrictions. Three youths, deemed central to planning and executing the violent acts, received house arrest orders. They must remain at home and are barred from contacting anyone outside their immediate families.
The fourth minor, who provided a premises for making incendiary devices and maintained contact with other suspects, faces a prescriptive measure. This includes a nightly curfew, prohibition from frequenting specific locations, and a ban on contacting co-defendants. The measures were issued by the preliminary investigations judge (GIP).
