Francesco Dino, a 57-year-old agricultural laborer, was fatally stabbed in Filaga, a hamlet of Prizzi near Palermo, where he resided. The alleged attacker, identified as his 27-year-old neighbour, reportedly struck Dino in the abdomen with at least two knife blows. Dino attempted to flee but collapsed outside a nearby pizzeria. Rushed to Palermo’s Civico hospital via air ambulance, he died en route. The two neighbours had recently filed reciprocal complaints against each other.
