European Commissioner for Enlargement, Márta Kos, hailed the agreement as “a decisive step towards lasting peace and stability” in a statement posted on X. Kos confirmed her upcoming visit to both nations, adding, “I stand ready to support the normalization process and regional connectivity.”
In a related development, President Aliyev suggested submitting a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan nomination for former U.S. President Donald Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan endorsed the proposal, stating, “I believe President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, and we will defend and promote this initiative.”
